HealthyPaws Privacy Policy

HealthyPaws ("the App") is a free pet food analysis app developed by Yana Ivasiuk ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name (if you choose to share it) and a unique account identifier. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only receive Apple's private relay address. We do not collect passwords — authentication is handled entirely by Apple or Google.

Pet profiles. You may voluntarily add information about your pets, including name, species, breed, age or birth date, weight, sex, health conditions, and dietary restrictions. This data is stored in your private account so the App can personalize food grades and recommendations.

Food label images and links. When you scan a pet food product, the photos you take or select and any product URLs you enter are sent to third-party services for analysis (see Section 3). We do not store your photos on our servers — they are transmitted directly from your device to the analysis service and are not retained after processing.

Scan history and chat messages. The App saves your scan results (product name, grade, ingredient analysis) and AI chat conversations to your private account so you can revisit them. This data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore.

Pet profile photos. If you add a photo to your pet's profile, it is uploaded to Google Firebase Storage and linked to your account. Photos are only accessible to you.

Automatically collected data. We do not use any analytics SDKs, advertising trackers, or crash reporting tools beyond what Firebase Authentication provides by default. We do not track your location.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your data to train AI models.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, which encrypts data both in transit and at rest. Each user's data is isolated by their unique account identifier — you can only access your own pets, scans, and chat history. We do not maintain separate servers or databases.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you have an active account. You can delete individual scans and chat sessions from within the App at any time. If you wish to delete your entire account and all associated data, please contact us at the email address below and we will process your request within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You may also have the right to data portability or to restrict how your data is processed. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
